The 2001 China Gold Pandas have a new, distinct look.
The raised edge rim has disappeared allowing for a larger Panda
image on the obverse. The reverse now features a flat, frosted
ring around the Temple of Heaven. Also, for the first time since
1982, the gold Panda denominations have been raised. The one
ounce is now 500 yuan. The other denominations are 200, 100,
50, and 20 yuan in descending order. The China Mint continued
the 2001 design in 2002.
All of our China
Gold Panda coins are in mint condition with most in their original
packaging.
At this time we
do have a limited number of year 2001 and 2002 pandas in stock,
but please do not order more than one of each size without checking
with us first.
