From 1955 until 2001, Liberty Lobby
was America's foremost "populist" institution. Especially
through its weekly paper, The SPOTLIGHT, it promoted a pro-Constitution
outlook that opposed the "politically correct" agenda
of the "one worlders" and the Israel-first lobby. At
one point during the early 1980s, the paper's circulation reached
more than 300,000.
I do not know the whole story of these Liberty
Lobby silver rounds, but have not seen any large quantities.
Apparently, they were minted for Liberty Lobby to promote their
message and to provide a convenient silver investment for their
members in an era before the American Eagle silver dollar coins
were introduced.
Except for the 1979 piece, our Liberty Lobby silver
rounds are in mint condition.
