In this section, you will find a selection of silver art rounds commemorating historical events. Click here to view silver rounds commemorating Cities, States, and Counties. These rounds are pure silver, one troy ounce, unless otherwise noted. The rounds are usually between 38mm and 40mm in diameter. Shipping & handling charges are added on at checkout and are based on the total amount of your order from our site (see chart at bottom of this page). Sorry, but we do not accept international orders. In many cases, we have only one each of these, so please do not order more than one of each without checking with us first. The "Birth of Israel" Commemorative Series Minted by The Lincoln Mint The Sterling Silver medals in this series were minted by the Lincoln Mint and commemorate the Birth of Israel. These Sterling Silver medals weigh around 40 grams each and are 44.75 MM in Diameter. They are in Mint Condition and exhibit no handling marks altough some are a little cloudy from being in the original album. I will dip them before mailing them out to bring out the brilliant Proof surfaces. Each medal is stamped Sterling on the edge and the are all serial numbered 0411. I have the album made for them, but we only have 20 pieces of the entire set which consists of 30 pieces. I will throw in the album to anyone who buys 5 or more of these medals. Longines Symphonette Historical Events Medal Series These lovely hi-relief, antique finish, sterling silver medals were minted in 1972 and are known as the Longines Symphonette Historical Events Medal Series. Each sterling silver (.925 fine) medal is in the 1 1/4 ounce range and contains appx. 1 1/5 troy ounces of pure silver. These medals are 40mm in diameter, the same size as an American Silver Eagle dollar coin. The obverse of each medal depicts an important event, person, or thing while the reverse has a brief explanation of the event portrayed. These medals are in choice original mint condition and virtually as issued. They are serially numbered on the edge and stamped Longines Symphonette and Sterling.
