Franklin Mint's ''The Patriots Hall of Fame Medals'' "The Builders of Our Nation" These medals were minted by the Franklin Mint between 1970 and 1975. There were 100 medals in all which came out in 5 annual series of 20. They paid tribute to great patriots from important eras of American History. A complete set is on permanent display at Freedoms Foundation. The symbol of the Freedoms Foundation, a study of George Washington at prayer at Valley Forge, appears on the reverse of each medal. Each 39mm medal weighs 32.6 grams of Sterling Silver. Each Medal is on its own page and gives a picture of the event with a detailed story of the event the person is famous for on the reverse.
