The Perth Mint began producing
the Chinese Lunar Animal Gold Coin Series in 1996. These pure
gold coins are produced in 1 Kilo, 10 oz, 2 oz, 1 oz, 1/2 oz,
1/4 oz, 1/10 oz and 1/20 oz sizes. The obverse features an effigy
of Queen Elizabeth II while the reverse depicts one of the Chinese
Lunar animals. All of our Australian Lunar coins are in mint
condition in their original packaging. River City Coins &
Jewelry stocks the three smaller sizes.

of 14K gold bezels if you wish to make your coin into a piece
of jewelry (see below).
These lunar animal coins were also
issued in pure silver and may be ordered here.
Shipping and handling charges
are added to all orders at checkout and are based on the total
amount of your order from our site (see chart below). Rates quoted
are for shipment to U. S. addresses only. International orders
are not accepted. In many cases, we may have only one of any
specific coin so please do not order more than one of each without
