This coin was issued to honor the 200th anniversary
of the White House. The obverse of this coin depicts the north
portico of the White House and was designed by Mint Sculptor
Edgar Z. Steever IV. The reverse was designed by Mint Sculptor
Chester Y. Martin and features the bust of James Hoban, the original
architect, and the main entrance he designed.
This coin was issue with both Proof (375,849) and
Uncirculated (123,803) finishes.
