1935 Connecticut Tercentenary Commemorative Half Dollar PCGS MS-65

The Connecticut commemorative half dollar was minted to mark the 300th anniversary of the founding of the colony of Connecticut in 1935. The obverse features a bald eagle with wings folded. The reverse features the "Charter Oak" where the Royal Charter was hidden during the reign of James II who wanted to revoke it. The Connecticut half was designed by Henry Kreis. Mintage was 25,018.

This Connecticut commemorative half dollar has a great strike, good lustre, lovely toning and minimum contact marks. A very pleasing example.
