 The Cincinnati Music Center commemorative half dollar was minted to commemorate the 50th anniversary in 1936 of Cincinnati as a center of music. The obverse features the bust of composer Stephen Foster, America's Troubadour, although the celebration bore no relation to him. The reverse features a lady playing the lyre representing the personification of music. The Cincinnati half was designed by Constance Ortmayer. Mintage was only 5,005.

This Cincinnati Music Center commemorative half dollar has a decent strike with a minimum of contact marks. The lustre is so-so with mottled toning and spots of tarnish.
