This commemorative
silver half dollar celebrates the centennial of Cleveland, Ohio
and the Great Lakes Exposition held there in 1936. The coin was
designed by Brenda Putnam. The obverse displays the bust of Moses
Cleveland. The reverse displays the Great Lakes region with a
compass pointed at the city of Cleveland. Nine Great Lake cities
are marked by stars.
