 This commemorative silver half dollar was issued as a souvenir for the California - Pacific International Exposition held in San Diego, Ca. in 1935 and struck at the San Francisco Mint. This coin was designed by Robert Aitken. The obverse features a seated female with spear and a bear in the left background. The reverse displays the observation tower and the State of California building at the exposition.
