Gold American Eagle
Coins have been produced since 1986. They have been minted in
tenth, quarter, half and one ounce sizes.
American Gold Eagle coins
are 22K (.900 fine gold), but they do have pure gold content
of the stated weight.
Business strike, or uncirculated,
gold eagles are sold through a network of official distributors
and are not sold directly to the public by the mint.
The Mint does sell Burnished
Uncirculated and Proof versions of the gold eagles to the public.
All of our gold eagle coins
are in Mint, unused, condition.
