1975 100 Balboas Proof

This Republic of Panama 100 Balboas gold coin was the first gold coin issued under the authority of the Republic of Panama, the first gold coin minted in the United States since the removal of the U. S. government's ban on private gold ownership, and the first gold coin minted by the Franklin Mint. This coin features Vasco de Balboa on the obverse and commemorates the 500th anniversary of his birth.

This 100 Balboas gold coin was minted in Proof .900 fine gold, measures 27mm, weighs 8.16 grams, and contains .2361 ounces of pure gold. This coin is in original proof condition, in the case of issue with outer box and COA.
